This is the first post on my outfit, and I’m trying to stay as simple as possible. When deciding “outfit of the day,” I usually try to think of the pieces that I have and imagine how I can mix them. For me, it helps me to define key pieces and what accessories I can add to enhance the look. Today, I am keeping it simple with black, blue, and white as the primary colors.

In recent years, I have been trying to figure out what my style is and how I can keep it minimal. I tried to find outfit inspirations on Instagram and Pinterest and then reflect on my closets. I always love the way things look on others but have always felt I can’t pull it off due to my petite figure. For so long, I cannot determine what style can fit my silhouette. Until recently, I decided to stick to classic pieces and start building my closet from there. However, that does not mean getting rid of all my clothes and buying new ones but rather keeping the pieces I enjoy and only buy pieces that I think is necessary. So let’s get down to the outfit I’m wearing today.
It started to feel like spring, where we had a couple of 60-degree weather days, and I’m so excited that I can begin to wear this short-sleeve t-shirt from Kotn again. I also have another one in black. Kotn shirts are ethically made of 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton, which is very soft and comfortable, and it such a classic piece that can be paired with everything.
I got the black pair of Madewell jeans from ThredUp, one of my favorite thrift shops, by the way. I love how comfortable it is, and the length is great for my petite figure.
I still need a jacket just in case it got cold, and I’m super happy that I found this 100% wool jacket from a local thrift shop for under $10. I love the navy blue and the chic and elegant form of the jacket. I just got this recently, so you will see this in the next coming months until it gets too hot.
Finally are the accessories. Besides sneakers, my next favorite shoe items are boots. I got these minimal design with a low heel Vince sock booties on sale at Nordstrom. To enhance the look, I added a matching black crossbody from JW PEI and gold earrings from Aurate New York. Classic and simple; my OOTD motto.
Until next time,
